MODULE 1

Allergic Reactions

🔸 Recognising mild, moderate and severe (anaphylaxis) allergies.

🔸 How to manage a severe reaction before the ambulance arrives, including EpiPen use.

🔸 Current recommendations on preventing allergies in babies. 

You’ll finish this module  with a complete picture of how to recognise mild/moderate and severe allergies and manage their initial treatment.

MODULE 2

Choking Emergencies

Choking is usually a reversible event when proper first aid is applied. In this module, you will:

🔸 Differentiate between choking and gagging.

🔸 Learn how to manage both mild and severe choking emergencies.

🔸 Discover how to create a safe eating environment for your child to minimise the risk of choking.

You’ll finish this module with a solid understanding on how to manage choking emergencies in both babies and children.

MODULE 3

Basic Life Support (CPR).

While it's rare that an allergic reaction or a choking event will progress to your child becoming unconscious, CPR is a fundamental skill that every parent (and person!) should know.

In this module, you will learn:

🔸 How to check for danger, assess your child's response, and send for help.

🔸 How to check and clear your child's airway, assess their breathing, and know when to start CPR.

🔸 Correct techniques for chest compressions and rescue breaths on both an infant and child.

🔸 When and how to use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator).

You'll finish this lesson knowing the correct techniques in performing CPR in both infants and children.
